Tegnap este megtörtént az a bizonyos Activison-Blizzard gazdasági beszámoló.Szeretnék egy-két dolgot tisztázni ezzel kapcsolatban.Én egy szóval nem mondtam, hogy biztos béta időpont bejelentés lesz, ezt vegyétek figyelembe.Vegyük szépen sorjában az elhangzottakat, és rájöttök hogy egy szóval nem mondták, hogy mikor fog ill. mikor nem fog megjelenni a game, és még a béta kezdetére vonatkozóan is elhangzott utalás. Először Thomas Tippl a 20. perc körüli kijelentése lombozta le a hangulatot, miszerint a jelenlegi tervekben nem szerepel semmilyen Blizzard termék megjelenése 2011-ben, elképzelhető, hogy emiatt 2012-ben, 2010 után ismét két terméket dobnak piacra.

Aztán jött a beszámoló vége felé jött Mike Morhaime, a Blizzard elnöke, aki összetörte a rajongók szívét,azzal, hogy haladnak a játékkal, de pontosabbat a megjelenéssel kapcsolatban csak a béta kezdetével tudnak mondani.Ezzel nem azt kívánja mondani, hogy a játék 2012-ben fog megjelenni, csak annyit, hogy konkrétumokat nem tud a megjelenéssel kapcsolatban mondani, amíg nem indult el a béta.
Mike Morhaime: So, I don’t have a percentage of completion rating for you today other than to say that the game is coming along very well. We’re very happy with the development progress that the team is making. But, until we get to beta and we have the community help us test the game, we aren’t going to lock in a release date. And, so, I just want to clarify that we’re not setting a date – I’m not saying that it’s going to be 2012. I’m just saying that there isn’t a date yet. And so, given that we haven’t locked into a date, we fully support the decision not to include it in the guidance.
A gazdasági beszámoló végén jött a Q&A szekció, melyben ismét rákérdeztek a Diablo 3-ra,természetesen a válaszok hasonlóak voltak az eddigiekhez.Tehát addig nem adják ki a játékot,amíg nem érzik úgy hogy kész van. Viszont a Blizzard elnök válasza már enged a béta kezdetére vonatkozóan következtetéseket levonni.

I guess, what is the qualifier to get a Blizzard title out this year? I guess – it seems – like the commentary seems awfully interesting in that it’s – are you waiting for some sort of percntage completion? Competitive slate? Can you just maybe elaborate more on why there isn’t a Blizzard title this year?
Thomas Tipple, COO and CFO of Activision-Blizzard: … with regards to the commentary around the Blizzard title. As you know, and as we said before, we think that in the long run, Blizzard is good for one major release a year. But of course, we’ll always rule the quality of the game has to be there. And that’s why, for example, we didn’t have a release in 2009, but we had two releases in 2010. And as you can see, the results speak for themselves. So I think that has played out well for our shareholders.With regards to Diablo, we don’t have a date yet. So we felt it was prudent not to bake it in. Because, again, we don’t want to find ourselves in a situation where we either disappoint or would have to make any compromises on the game quality – which we would never do. If the title ships, you know, obviously, that would prevent material ops side (?) to the outlook we have provided.
Mike Morhaime:
As for Diablo III, development continues to go well, and we’re very excited about the game. Our most recent public showcase for Diablo III was at the G-Star show in Korea, where demo stations attracted huge lines of players. I’m looking forward to sharing some more news about the game and our upcoming beta on the next call.
Bashiok is próbálja megnyugtatni a kedélyeket a fórumon.Mindenki félreérti a helyzetet, jelenlegi státuszban semelyik újabb Blizzard game (Sc2 kieg, D3, WoW kieg stb.) megjelenését nem jelentették be, szóval felesleges aggódni emiatt.
I want to make sure it’s clear that what was stated on the investor conference call was this: Blizzard has not announced a release date for its next global release. IF we don’t release a major title in 2011, then for planning purposes we would expect to launch 2 titles in 2012.
This has been misreported/misinterpreted as an announced release schedule for 2011 and 2012, which it is not. While we’re pleased with the progress of Diablo III, we have not announced a release date for it or for any other upcoming Blizzard game. We’re currently contacting a number of outlets to request that they make the appropriate corrections in order to avoid any further confusion.
Értő szövegolvasás után megállapítható, hogy a játék pontos megjelenési dátuma még nem ismert, ezzel kapcsolatban majd csak ha már benne vagyunk a bétában tudnak nyilatkozni. Azt sem mondták, hogy 2012-ben fog jönni a Diablo 3, tehát ez nem zárja ki annak az esélyét, hogy még az idén megjelenjen kedvenc játékunk 3. része. A Blizzard elnök, Mike Morhaime szavai alapján, pedig májusban már többet tud mondani arról, hogy mikor indul a béta. Egy nyár eleji bétával is még kijöhet a Diablo 3 még az idén télen is. Remélem sikerült eloszlatnom a ködöt a fejekben.
