A Blizzard hivatalosan is megerősítette a tényt, hogy lesz játszható verzió a Diablo 3-ból az idei GamesCom rendezvényen, Kölnben. Továbbá a Pcgames.de jelenti, hogy ott lesz a rendezvényen Jay Wilson is, aki fél órás sajtó tájékoztatót tart majd a Diablo 3-ról és annak egy vadonatúj feature-jéről.
